 The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Isaiah 61:1

Spirit imparts the understanding which uplifts conciousness and leads into all thruth. The Psalmist saith "The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea". Spiritual sense is the discernment of spiritual good. Understanding is the line of demarcation between the real and unreal. Spiritual understanding unfolds Mind, Life, Truth and -Love- and demonstrates the devine sense, giving the spiritual proof of the universe in Christian Science. The understanding is not intellectual, is not the result of scholary attainments; it is the reality of all things brought to light.
